Scott Shadley, VP of Marketing (August 9, 2018) – Measuring success at a tradeshow is always an interesting exercise. You can measure it by the leads you take from the show, the number of meetings that you had, how successful the meetings you had were, or any other number of metrics that you can imagine. For the NGD Systems team, winning the “Best of Show Innovation Award” for in-situ processing yesterday at the 2018 Flash Memory Summit definitely qualifies as a clear measure of success.
This win was important from two perspectives. First, it recognizes the product of our team’s hard work to develop real computational storage products. Our current Catalina-2 computational storage devices, and our recently-announced Newport platform, are market-leading products that provide real acceleration for a variety of applications. Secondly, the award recognizes the emerging importance of computational storage for petabyte-scale applications such as real-time analytics, edge computing, and IoT. From the team at NGD Systems, we thank the Flash Memory Summit for recognizing us with this award. See more about our award on our press release.
